Chad Bordelon is a business developer, engineer, general contractor, ordained minister, public speaker, and founder of the award-winning Fleur de Lis Event Center, one of the country’s leading venues, just outside of New Orleans.
Chad and Karen, his wife of 27 years, have raised there 5 kids in Mandeville. Chad is a past King and newly elected Captain of the Krewe of Orpheus. Chad and Karen have been active over the years, in various areas and boards in our community. Such as: Coaching sports, Church leadership, Local School’s, non-profits, even work with International adoption, resulting in the “Angel in adoption award” presented by President George W Bush.

Chad Bordelon is a father of 5 and is married to Karen for 27 years.
Karen and I met at LSU, we got married and moved to Mandeville where Karen took a new job at Chinchuba Elementary (later renamed Tchefuncte elementary). Karen taught 6th grade and was part of the first staff at the new school.

Chad has served as a past King of Orpheus and is the current Captain of the Northshore krewe. Chad and the current board have converted this Mandeville krewe to co-ed and are working to build new membership.

His business, The Fleur de Lis Event Center is a premier wedding and events place and has notably been awarded by The Knot, a global media and technology company specializing in Weddings, with its prestigious The Knot Best of Weddings, accolade and badge since 2012.
Chad has been extensively trained by “The Walt Disney Company,” the world’s leader in customer service and serves as the venue ambassador for “The Knot, the #1 trusted authority on all things weddings.” Chad uses his unique experiences to inform the direction of The Knot products, programs, and services, along with speaking at educational workshops and webinars.
